The Mallorca Paracycling Tour is one of the best known adapted cycling races in Spain and the world. This 3-day competition brings riders from all over the world to the north of Mallorca. In the last edition the event was attended by 2 world champions and 13 medallists in world and Paralympic championships.

This race is part of the national calendar of the Royal Cycling Federation (RFEC). Although it is a Spanish federation event, it has a large number of entries from international cyclists.

More than 15 nationalities took part in the last edition. The most characteristic feature of the event is that it shares the characteristics of a conventional cycling race: closed traffic, start and finish in different municipalities, prizes for the leader of the classification, prize for regularity and prize for the mountain leader.

The adapted cycling categories taking part in this competition include handbike, tricycle, tandem and road bike, ensuring that every rider finds their place in the competition.

In the north of Mallorca, specifically in Playa de Muro, with its mild climate, scenic roads and breathtaking views, provides the perfect backdrop for the race. Many of the riders who take part in the race fall in love with its ideal cycling locations and return to the island in the pre-season.

Stages of the Mallorca Paracycling Tour

On Thursday 19th October, at the Viva Blue hotel in Playa de Muro, from 17:00 hours, the welcome ceremony, the handing out of accreditations and the technical briefing will take place.

First stage will be held on Friday 20th October, known as Llana. It is a route that crosses the municipality of Muro through the town centre and its roads.

A first test in the form of a circuit where riders of all categories will have to complete 3 laps to finish it. The H1 and H2 handbike riders will only do 2 laps. The route of this first stage is 34.02 km and 87 metres of accumulated height difference.

Mallorca Paracycling Tour - Stage 1

The second day is the Queen Stage of the competition. On this route the cyclists will start the route in Playa de Muro in the direction of the bay of Pollensa, after which the first 9 kilometres will be neutralised.

These stage will start again in Puerto de Pollensa where they will ride to and from the Faro de Formentor lighthouse with traffic completely closed on the road.

Finish line will be crossed after descending from the Mirador de la Creu and arriving at Puerto de Pollensa with a total distance of 54.73 km and 1,457 metres of elevation gain.

Mallorca Paracycling Tour - Stage 2

On Sunday 22nd October is the third and final stage will be the Medium Mountain stage. In this route with start and finish in the municipality of Artà, the cyclists will complete a route that will pass through Camí de Sa Vall, Son Mesquida and L’Infern.

A stage with a total of 54 km and 687 metres of accumulated height gain.
